The Mermaid Experience

Our mission at The Mermaid Experience is to bring artists together for a creative experience of a lifetime. We customize our trips for the avid photographer at every experience level.

Our all-inclusive trips are hyper-focused on portraiture, glamour, and of course fine art photography.

The Turks and Caicos Islands sets our scene. Martin, our on-island host will show you the best locations and what gorgeous settings serve his already existing, Turks and Caicos based, photography career Mermaid Pictures and Printing.

During the experience, from the picturesque sunrise through the golden hours of sunset, we will bring you to prime highly secluded spots that will cultivate your creativity. From uninhabited island beaches only accessible by boat, sandbars out at sea, incredible beachfront villas, mangroves, reflection pools, limestone caves, and of course dramatic seascape locations. The beautiful by nature Turks and Caicos has it and we will shoot it!

Our event is carefully curated and therefor it takes a close knit team to manage our events. Our assistants, mermaids, the concierge team and hosts Martin & Makayla will be your ultimate guides for this trip. Rest assured knowing everything can and will be taken care of by the Mermaid Team.

We include all of the unforeseen charges one can accrue on a vacation and make all the necessary arrangements for you to have an easy carefree time once you are on island.

The models we cast are a huge part of our organization. We scout models based on their posing abilities and on set attitude. The Mermaids are all here to be a part of your art and creative process. They are talented and tenacious women that we are proud to have as part of our brand.

Note : You may choose to come for the intensive 3 days of photoshoots or add a little extra vacation time since you're already heading this way.

Pay a 50% installment to secure your slot and private accomodations
Book your roundtrip flight to PLS from your departure city
Pack your gear in a waterproof bag
Fly to Providenciales, TCI for The Mermaid Experience (Airport code : PLS)

Your total all-inclusive package price is $3,199 - your only additional cost is your flight from your destination. All taxes and service fees are included our package price.
*You will put your credit card down at your hotel during check in for incidentals.

Non Photographer Companion/Spouse accompaniments are at no cost, their food is an additional cost.

Your Experience & Schedule

As a guest of ours at The Mermaid Experience you will witness the beauty of nature in our homeland and be amongst the exciting flare of the Caribbean your whole trip.
You will be photo touring with us out to many remarkable locations with our stunning models to add incredible imagery to your photographic portfolio.

Your Accommodation & Meals

Your hotel suite is situated beachfront on Grace Bay Beach
(Grace Bay Beach on Providenciales was voted the #1 beach in the world by TripAdvisor's 2016 Traveller's Choice Awards)

Your package also includes all meals by way of great local restaurants or private chef.

Light Breakfast and snacks provided at location shoots & we will stock you up on your favourite in-room treats & drinks or cart you to the supermarket before the event to make your own selections.

Group Dinners & Lunch Outings
We show you our favourite local fare from Turks Kebab to Da Conch Shack.
We plan to host amazing private chef dinners each night. Our meals will all be outdoors.
*Beer & wine will be included during private chef dinners but no alcohol will be purchased from venues for guests. You are free to purchase your own alcohol.

We strive to have one highly special, unique shoot only for this event. This year we have something incredible up our sleeves.

Arrival Day Information- Friday
-Arrive into PLS, get through customs, get a warm TMX welcome & receive transportation by our team, check in and get settled in at the accommodations we have procured for you.
-Upon check in and arrival you may unpack, have a snack, charge remaining camera batteries.

--Intro to the Island Shoot & Dinner starting at at 5pm

Event Day example
DAY 1
6:30am-10:30am : Boating adventure sunrise shoot, multiple secret locations.
11am-4pm : Lunch & day break (cool off swim!)
4pm-8pm : Daylight into golden hour shoot at a luxury villa setting overlooking the sunset using the electric and magnificent golden light.
8pm Group Dinner & Discussion

Private and Group Events

We are currently offering both private & group events.

Our price for the 3 day group event is inclusive of the following
-All meals, snacks, & non-alcoholic beverages
-Resort facilities & amenities
-Private accommodations and all tax and service charges
-All of our models’ fees
-Airport transfers
-Transportation daily to and from shoots either by 4x4 truck or by boat
-Photo guidance and technical help by master photographer Martin A. Lingnau of Mermaid Pictures
-Locations scouted and secured for you in advance
-Gear storage and optional handling assistance
-Reflector usage

The grand total price is $3,199 - your additional cost is your flights to and from your destination

We also invite single traveler guests to come and shoot with Makayla to your heart's content with the assistance and guidance of Martin of Mermaid Pictures, and let's not forget his keen boat captaining skills to get us to our secluded locations. Price available upon request and model availability.
